The NEW STUFF that Nightmare Isle has to offer: New GFX. New Text. New Behaviors. New SFX. New Music (Originally composed by Dave Diagneault a.k.a SargPepp67). New Demos. New Loading and End Text Screens. ALL Weapons have been replaced. They are listed, along with their capa- bilities, starting with the absolute first weapon. The number before the weapon represents the number you should push to bring up the weapon, if you have it. 1 - Axe: A good toe-to-toe destruction weapon. Good for smashing small stuff, however, power it up, and you can go toe-to-toe with the bigger baddies. When powered up, you can knock your enemies backward! 1 - Flaming Gauntlets of the Heretic - Flaming gloves excellent for just about anything in the lower class of enemies. When normal, it emits a red flame that will kill enemies at an extremely short distance. Power it up, and you emit green flames that can pull your enemy in from farther away, and suck out their energy from them to you! 2 - Fire Wand - A rapid-fire scorcher weapon. Most small enemies will die quickly when using this weapon. When normal it will fire at a constant rate, hitting many things and burning them. When powered up, it fires two small magma balls that go from each side, and anything in between them is scorched lethally! 3 - Magma Crossbow - Your workhorse throughout Nightmare Isle. This weapon is EXTREMELY versatile. When normal, it will fire a large magma ball and two smaller chunks. When powered up, it will shoot three large magma balls and two smaller magma balls, while the larger magma balls split into smaller chunks when they impact. 4 - Ice Power - A fast firing weapon that cold-burns enemies to death. Ammo consumption is fast, so make use of it! When normal, it fires at an extremely fast rate, so downing small enemies with it is a breeze. Power it up, and you unleash the power of the ice gargoyle, every shot releases a gargoyle that flies right at your opponent. This powered up method can down slightly larger enemies. 5 - ShadowStaff - A staff that posseses the power of darkness. When normal it fires at a great rate, killing just about anything. Powered up, it unleashes stronger blasts that release a dark rain upon your enemies. 6 - Fire Maul - The maul from one of the deceased Mutilataurs. When normal it releases are large powerful fireball. When powered up, it becomes a toaster that releases a large amount of flames, thus cooking your enemies! 7 - WindMace - A mace that harnesses the power of wind. When at it's normal state, it will release very many small tornados that are gale force. Power this beast up, and you possess the absolute most powerful weapon on NightMare Isle... The next section of the new stuff in Nightmare Isle includes enemies, and new enemy deaths. New enemies also possess new deaths. The Ice Gargoyle (Replaces the Gargoyle) - This new breed of Gargoyle now has a green skin, and posseses the power of ice. This new breed is faster, stronger, and very annoy- ing. These are essentially the ammo-consumers of your quest. The Black Dragon (Replaces the Weredragon) - These new enemies are a new breed of Weredragon that possess speed, strength, and the ability to scorch any unsuspecting elf very quickly. Their appearance is easy to detect. Anything that's black and moves is prob- ably a Black Dragon. The Archimages (Replaces the Disciple) - When D'Sparil began to rule Night- mare Isle, he needed a more depend- able race of wizards than the disc- iples. So now he commands the army of the Archimages. Much stronger beings that are faster, and versa- tile. They wear a green robe in place of the Disciples Black robe. The Red Lich (Replaces the Iron Lich) - Nightmare Isle banned Iron Lichs from the Isle, but Red Lichs were perfect- ly welcome. Stronger, faster, and don't take their time to kill you. They are the Rooks of D'Sparil's army. New Golem Death - Everything falls apart with plenty of gore. New Ophidian Death - Head falls on corpse. SabreClaw - Nothing flies. Just falls apart. Knight Death - Legs tip over while torso flies in the air and lands on legs. Ice Gargoyle Death: Regular - Splits in three. Extreme - Splits in fifths. Black Dragon Death: Regular - Leg detaches from body, and body lands on leg. Extreme - Disappears from existence. Archimages - With a scream, it falls apart until red dust remains. This next section is on new items. Cure Water Vial - Replaces the crystal vial. It's no different in use though. Energy Flask - Replaces the Quartz flask. As before, use is no different. Discs - Replaces the keys. They act no different. It's just a new concept.
